Scope

Farrell Construction was engaged as the Main Contractor to deliver 14 premium two-bedroom apartments on Carlton Mill Road. Situated on a high-profile corner site on the CBD fringe, this multi-unit residential development was designed to meet the high standards of the Merivale precinct. The development included secure internal carparking on the ground floor and was designed to reflect the quality and convenience expected in this premium residential area.

Process

The build involved full site excavation, followed by construction on a two-storey concrete slab-on-grade. Precast concrete panels and suspended floor systems formed the structure, with a timber truss roof finished in Colorsteel corrugated cladding. Aluminium joinery, external doors, and high-quality interior fit-out completed the apartments. Farrell’s in-house carpentry team self-performed all structural and finishing works, ensuring total programme certainty and a high-fidelity finish.

Result

Completed in 12 months, the project successfully met all programme, budget and quality expectations. The result is a modern, high-standard apartment complex that enhances the architectural character of the Merivale neighbourhood and delivers value to future residents and the developer alike.
