Concrete Foundations & Precast Panel Installation, Christchurch
Scope
Cotton soft’s new warehouse facility in Hornby is a major industrial development designed to support large-scale manufacturing, storage, and distribution operations. The project required efficient structural delivery, structural precision, and careful coordination within a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
Process
Our role included the delivery of heavy foundations and installation of precast concrete panels, forming a critical part of the building’s structural framework and external envelope. Scope of works included pad and strip footings, ground beams, foundation preparation, and coordination with services to ensure accuracy and readiness for panel installation.
We managed the full precast installation process, including complex cranage operations, logistics coordination, panel sequencing, and installation of large-format concrete panels. These works required detailed planning, Tier-1 health and safety compliance, and precise technical execution to achieve strict structural tolerances and maintain programme certainty and momentum.
Result
Working closely with the Client, project consultants (Envision Eighty20), and associated trades, our team supported the efficient progression of the project through critical early construction phases. Our ability to integrate complex foundation works with vertical structure delivery enabled streamlined site operations and reduced master programme risk. This project highlights our capability as a premier subcontracting partner to deliver heavy structural and precast construction packages safely, efficiently, and with a Main Contractor mindset across large-scale industrial developments in Canterbury.
