Scope

The Hawkins Schools Programme: Carpentry for new builds - Haeata Community Campus / Rolleston High School / Papanui High School / Ashburton College / Allenton Primary School / Ashburton Intermediate / Banks Avenue School.

Process

Over a four-year period, Hawkins delivered new school facilities across the Canterbury region at Haeata Community Campus, Rolleston High School, Papanui High School, Ashburton College, Allenton Primary, Ashburton Intermediate and Banks Avenue School. Farrell Construction was engaged throughout to provide specialist carpentry support as a key construction delivery partner.

With an average of 50+ staff across sites, our team supplied foremen and trade-qualified carpenters to deliver the full range of carpentry and builder’s work packages. Farrell’s ability to consistently resource and coordinate multiple large-scale public sector construction projects was a key factor in our selection, ensuring programme certainity and quality were maintained across the programme even within live environment construction constraints.

Result

The result was seven public sector construction projects delivered to programme certainty and specification in partnership with Hawkins. By consistently meeting high-scrutiny standards across multiple Canterbury sites, Farrell Construction proved its capability as a lead construction delivery partner for large-scale, complex education builds.
